Kid Pan Alley: Music
No Limit on Hope
(SING!-Kid Pan Alley)
May 12, 2010
Paul Reisler, Amy Powers and teenagers from Camp Ronald McDonald
Paul worked with kids with cancer at Camp Ronald McDonald in Idyllwild, CA as part of a program called SING! that raises money for cancer research. Paul worked with Amy Powers and the actress, Sharon Lawrence on the project. SING! hosted a major gala concert at the Orpheum Theatre in LA. This song was the closing number with a great band and the whole cast on stage singing. If you'd like to see a video about the writing of the song and the moving performance of it go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=954JELYEhX0. The performance is at the end.
A bird sang a song in my window this morning
Welcoming a brand new day
I thought I heard it say
Help is coming your way
All my nightmares from the past
With the sun’s rays turned to ash
No limit on hope
You gotta try, you gotta believe
As you give you shall receive
No limit on hope
You just can’t think it
You gotta live it
You get whatever you give it
I rose out of bed with a brand new conviction
Suddenly my mind was clear
I had no more tears,
The sunshine melted my fears
My one voice can start a song
Everyone can sing along
No limit on hope
You gotta try, you gotta believe
As you give you shall receive
No limit on hope
You just can’t think it
You gotta live it
You get whatever you give it
You’ll go through storms
Get hit with surprises
But you can weather any crisis
Cause hope is never lost
It’s just something you forgot
And once you take control,
You just can’t stop
No limit-gotta try
No limit-you can fly
You’ll go beyond the sky
No limit, No limit
You’ll rise above it all
Get back up when you fall
With hope you’re standing tall
No limit, No limit
