Kid Pan Alley: Music
On a Kid’s Planet
(Kid Pan Alley classroom recording)
March 3, 2007
By Paul Reisler, Terri Allard & Ms. McDowell 4th grade, Rappahannock Elementary
On a Kid’s Planet
All the roads would be chocolate
On a Kid’s Planet
We’d drive banana splits.
On a Kid’s Planet
We’d swim in grape soda
Let’s be careful what we wish for,
We might get it!
On a Kid’s Planet
The kids would teach the teachers,
On a Kid’s Planet
We won’t study English Lit.
On a Kid’s Planet
All the rules would be broken
Let’s be careful what we wish for
‘Cause we might get it!
Maybe us kids have the power to change
What’s going on in the world;
We’ll make this planet a better place
For all us boys and girls.
On a Kid’s Planet
We would stop pollution
On a Kid’s Planet
The fun would never quit
On a Kid’s Planet
We’d find a cure for cancer;
That’s what we’d wish for
And we want it!
That’s what we’d wish for
And we’ll get it!
