I Think She Said

I used to always get A’s on my school report
Cause I knew how to figure things out
But now I can’t remember what I learned today
Or what the teacher was talking about

I think she said that butterflies lay eggs
Then turn into caterpillars
Then eat leaves and make cocoons
That turn them into butterflies again
and again, and again

I think she said rain falls in a storm
Waters all the plants and makes them grow
Then rises to the clouds
And falls down to the earth as rain again
and again, and again

I think she said that everything is born
Lives a life and one day will die
Then goes back to the earth
Waiting to be loved and born again
